Ashley Tuttle, DNP, APRN, CNM, FNE, is a certified nurse-midwife and midwifery educator. She practices midwifery at a federally qualified health center (FQHC), providing comprehensive pregnancy and gynecologic care to a diverse and predominantly non-English-speaking population. Her work focuses on advancing evidence-based approaches that enhance autonomy and predictability within routine patient care.

Dr. Tuttle earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Midwifery from the University of Kansas, where her doctoral project developed and implemented an evidence-based protocol for trauma-informed pelvic examinations. She translates trauma-informed principles into practical clinical strategies, emphasizing structured scripting, procedural refinements, and approaches that reduce unintended activation during sensitive exams.
